Colombia will be present!
Colombia will be represented by Juan Manuel Barrientos, chef and mastermind behind various El Cielo restaurants (Medellin, Bogota and Miami). Yes, the same El Cielo that has been on the Latin America’s 50 Best Restaurants list for years.
He’ll be cooking up scallop ceviche with Colombian fruit, a dish that shows off the immense variety of fruits in Colombia. If you’ve tried the dish you’ll know it includes lulo, maracuyá (Colombia’s word for passion fruit) and yacón (which is actually a daisy – but people love it for its edible roots).
June 6, 2016
Tickets for the event start at $600 but reach as high as $2,500. (Remember, it’s for charity.)
